4 graduate credits = 60 of your 90 renewal hours.
CDE counts 1 semester hour as 15 contact hours, so the 4 credits in Seat + 4 Graduate Credits cover two-thirds of your seven-year renewal. The training fits school culture and climate and student safety and well-being. At least 10 of your 90 hours must cover special education and behavioral health, so plan your mix. In most Colorado districts, graduate credits also move you on the salary schedule.
Credits come from University of Massachusetts Global, a regionally accredited university, and the enrollment is handled for you. Your transcript reads Classroom Management.

Dr. Johnny Alvarado started teaching in Sanger Unified in 1995 and spent the next three decades in Central Valley schools as a teacher, principal, county office director, chief academic officer and assistant superintendent. He holds a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate from Fresno State. Today he trains teachers and school leaders in Time To Teach®, the classroom management system from the Center For Teacher Effectiveness.
After the Saturday you complete a practicum: 12 activities with your own students, each written up in about a page, plus 10 one-page writing assignments from your Resource Manual. It is due six months after the seminar.
